"YU" was formed in 1998, under the initiation of Lien Gangte and Rakesh Barua. A powerful band YU is going places ever since it was formed.In 1999, "YU" was called in to feature as the main act for the Concert for Free Tibet in Chennai. The opening act for "YU" was a band from Bangalore -"Angel Dust".they have performed in all the major townships of NE and they have also made thier presence felt in the club circuit here.
